Foster Wheeler Energia POLSKA (FWEP) is an independent business unit inside Foster Wheeler Global Power Group. Foster Wheeler has been present in Poland for several years. The business unit in Poland is specialized in designing, manufacturing, erecting, commissioning and servicing of utility and industrial boilers, mainly circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) boilers, in the domestic market and in other markets in Central and Eastern European countries.

FWEP has a full operational capability in the field supply of a complete boiler island. Management of FWEP and all main departments are located in Sosnowiec, Poland. The company is registered in Warsaw, where our sales office is located. FWEP owns the majority of shares in Foster Wheeler Energy Fakop Sp. z o.o. in Sosnowiec - boiler pressure parts factory with over 100-year tradition. Together, both companies employ over 400 people in Poland.

FWEP participated together with other business units of Foster Wheeler to win several key CFB boiler projects in Poland and abroad. The most important ones were: rehabilitation of Turów Power Plant (6 CFB boilers with total capacity close to 1500 MWe) and first supercritical CFB boiler with capacity 460 MWe in Lagisza Power Plant.
